Our extra large tactile pads provide guidance and these products are ideal for situations where recessing of the substrate is considered inappropriate or costly. In these situations retrofitting can be easily achieved with the installation of these polymeric tactile products.
Additional can be purchased separately if required.
Optional mechanical fixings are
not required however they are offered as an optional extra in case you
are concerned about the corners potentially lifting and creating a trip
hazard however if you have used the adhesive correctly then mechanical
fixings are rarely ever required.

MATERIAL
Manufactured from new generation long lasting UV stable
polymer. Will not warp, curl up at the edges, move or change
shape when installed in accordance with CTA installation
instructions.
APPLICATIONS
Suitable for internal or external applications. Extremely versatile
and can be installed in many areas including public transport, bus
stops and tram platforms, and over concrete, timber, steel, stone;
into carpet, vinyl and most other substrates. Bitumen must be hot
mix, compacted and at least 30 days old.
DIMENSIONS
PolyPad®
is manufactured in a design registered 600 x 900mm size
and can also be manufactured in 300 x 600mm format on request.
2.5mm base with AS1428 compliant 5mm stud height. Can be
easily trimmed to size.
INSTALLATION METHOD
PolyPad®
Tactiles are installed over most substrates using
approved and correctly applied adhesive with a 3 to 4mm “V”
notched trowel. PolyPad®
retro-fit rubber Tactiles do not require
recessing. Carpet/Underlay Installation is achieved by cutting
the carpet/underlay away and installing a hardboard underlay
and Aluminium trims. Floor traffic should be avoided ideally for
48 hours or at least for 24 hours after installation. See Product
Installation sheet for comprehensive instructions.
